So the Sony Linkbuds S are currently my favorite earbuds from Sony… and they’re also the number 2 best performing anc earbuds… second to only the Sony WF-1000XM4. But if you’re looking into getting a pair of mid tier anc earbuds… today we’re going to compare the Linkbuds s to the Galaxy Buds 2, Beats Studio Buds, Sennheiser CX plus, and the Jabra Elite 7 pros.
So right now the Sony linkbuds S are currently my favorite earbuds that sony has ever put out. And personally, I am really hoping that we will see a Linkbuds Pro… cause sony is finally on the right track with these. But for right now, if you’re trying to choose between any on Sony’s earbuds as of mid 2022, today we’re going to compare the Linkbuds S to the entry level WF-C500’s, the open back Linkbuds, and the Sony WF-1000XM4’s.
I feel that sony has always struggled with their truly wireless earbuds… But then when the WF-1000XM4’s came out I thought sony was finally on the right track, except, they really messed up with their foam ear tips… then they released a few other earbuds that were okay… but now we have the Linkbuds S and these earbuds are really good… but I do get a little sad cause Sony is clearly holding these earbuds back so that they don’t make their own WF-1000XM4’s look bad.
So right now as of Mid 2022, sennheiser has finally finished revamping their whole truly wireless ear bud line up. We’ve got the bass Sennheiser CX’s, there are the CX plus, the momentum 3’s and the workout focused Sport True Wireless. Now all of these earbuds are using the same 7mm true response transducers and they all sound great. But if you’re trying to choose between any of these earbuds, then today we’re going to break down Sennheiser’s whole earbud line up, cause the features here are very different.
So after a solid month and a half of use… the Sennheiser Momentum 3’s are currently my favorite earbuds to use. The momentum 3’s have some solid upgrades from the momentum 2’s like better sound, better anc, a better sounding ambient mode, and updated Bluetooth connectivity. Now these aren’t the all out king’s of Premium ANC earbuds… but today we’re going to compare Sennheiser Momentum 3’s to the Sony WF-1000XM4’s, AirPods Pro, Jabra Elite 85T’s and the Galaxy Buds Pro.
Sennheiser has been very busy over the last few months. They have revamped their whole truly wireless earbud line up, and personally, I love both the CX Plus and Momentum True Wireless 3’s. Plus, we now know that the Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones are right around the corner. But today, we’re going to checkout Sennheiser’s first pair of truly wireless earbuds for working out, The Sennheiser Sport. Or at least that’s what I call them cause Sport true wireless just doesn’t ring.
I’m going to start of by saying that the Sennheiser Momentum 2’s were my favorite sounding earbuds, up until the Sennheiser CX Plus’s came out. The CX Plus’s just sounded a little more open, and their bass was much more defined and hard hitting. Plus, the smaller case was nice too. But now, we have the Momentum 3’s, I’ve been using these things for the last month and half and I love them. They sound better than the Momentum 2’s and they have a lot of important refinements to them as well.
So the Sony link buds are a pair of very niche earbuds from sony. Now on one hand, I love that sony is experiment with non in ear earbuds cause I think earbuds like Airpods, Airpods 3, Galaxy Buds Live and Surface Earbuds all have their place… However, there are some major quirks to point out about the Linkbuds. Nonetheless, today we’re going to checkout the new sony Linkbuds… and to keep things interesting… we’re also going to see how they stack up to the Sony WF-1000XM4’s and the WF-C500.
